Vultures Circling

If you've read previous stories, then you know that my house was trashed and that the vultures are circling, just waiting for my guard to be down. And that is very serious, but we can't live without some comic relief, so guess what happened?

One night a few weeks ago, I was sitting in my chair reading...all was quiet...and Sox was making himself comfortable in the middle of the floor...Someone coughed right outside the window by my chair!...Of course, I called the sheriff's dept., but by the time they got here, there was nobody there. Are we surprised?

A few nights later, sitting reading in same chair, all quiet, someone stepped on that ill balanced manhole cover in my front yard...right outside the window by my chair. Same story. These people actually think they're scaring me!...lol

Now if you've been reading you know that my roof is in sad shape, well the roof is mostly okay, but the eaves in front are rotting and falling. Which is awful, but...well kind of amusing too...Here's what happened.

A few nights ago, we had a storm. Now what this person was doing out in the rain, I don't know but...all was quiet, reading in chair, Sox resting comfortably. (starting to sense a pattern here?)...I could hear a piece of wood from the eaves coming loose and swinging in the wind and I just knew it was going to fall down....AND IT DID!

What made it funny was the thump and the loud "OUCH!" I heard right outside my window! All they could hear from inside was my laughter! That'll larn 'em!!!

It's pitiful how that cat just can't get comfortable isn't it? Somebody has always got to interrupt his best naps!...lol
